* The Farhood is the popular name to describe the pogrom that afflicted the Jewish community in Iraq in June 1941.
** Ma`abarot is the name given to the tent cities, which were used to absorb immigrants in the early days of the state of Israel.
*** The Tasqeet is the period 1950 -1951, surrounding the registration and displacement of the vast majority of the Jewish community of Iraq.
